It is almost that time of year ... WOW! So first of all since I got a fancy new camera before we moved here to Hawaii I thought I would take Trevor's picture for his graduation announcements. The photo that is in the yearbook was taken at a studio requested by the school of course. We waited until the last minute to take the picture and of course it is the worst time of the year here, {if there is such a thing in Hawaii } It is EXTREMELY windy. So, after some editing in Elements, I am still trying to decide to use this picture or head out and take another one. The weather is still very windy and our schedules clash all the time. Has anyone ever seen Trevor smile like this ?? HEHE. Well enough of the picture, I made this announcement in Elements as well, I've been working on it for days and digging out my tutorial book, there is a lot of stuff to remember and figure out !! I love doing it though. I thought I would ask everyone's opinion on my picture and card design ;) Let me know what you all think !!

Macadamia Nut Farm field trip !

the best bananas ever !

Last Thursday the volunteers from NMCRS got to go on a field trip to the Macadamia Nut Farm . This is a must see tour in my opinion. It was hilarious and really cool to see that a ton of movies are filmed right there. Well at least certain shots from movies like 50 first dates {the restaurant} Along Came Polly, and of course LOST !! And too many more to even remember. They were actually filming while we were there. The movie Soul Surfer, {the story of Bethany Hamilton, surfer girl whose arm was taken by a shark } Yikes ! So we were on the tour bus and driving through the movie set and there was the shark and we all got out and bombarded the shark and took silly pictures, which I have none of right now because the one of me is on my friends camera. So I will post later or you might see it pop up on Facebook, I'm sure she will {tag}me... Until later... Happy Valentines Day tomorrow !!!

Yikes! I guess the holidays are over ... no more lounging for me ;) I haven't taken many pictures lately :( I do have a few of Trevor's 18 Birthday in December, I will put those up at the end of this post.

So, we thought we'd go on a hike, first one since David has been back. We also thought it would be SOOO fun to bring Katie... Well she was having a good time until it was time to come back down, her poor feet were sooo hot. Trevor, Rie, Jessica and I took turns carrying her down this 2 mile hike. She weighs about 77 pounds. It took two people to carry her. She is walking better today, on Sunday all she did was lay down and we had to bring her food and water to her. ANYWAYS, other than that the hike was great, I got everyone to go ! Trevor and Rie too !

{ The Tree }

Well we set up and decorated the tree on Thanksgiving Day. Trevor helped with the construction and Olive helped with the decorating ;) Yes, she already bit on a light and made it go out, she tossed the ornaments around, and now it's her favorite napping place.

Back from Kauai, we went for a weekend and it rained and stormed almost the whole time. Most of our pictures were foggy and rainy :) But we did get to see alot of beautiful places. Waimea Canyon was amazing ! Also stopped at a coffee plantation, got a close up of coffee beans for you farmvillers ;) Oh and a banana tree, I think those are apple bananas though because they are so short. The first place we went to was Poipu Beach, pretty rainy there as well. The beaches were so brown from all the debris that washed down into the water. Even the waterfalls were brown. Maybe before we leave here we will get to go back when they aren't having a storm.

David is finally home after 9 months of being deployed to Afghanistan. We are now looking forward to enjoying some sightseeing and relaxing here in Hawaii.

Aloha ! We are finally moving into the new house on Monday ! When we moved here in January housing had told us we would be moving this fall into new housing they are building. So right before David comes home we get to move ! yay ! good thing the boys are out of school for Fall Break. This house isn't next to the beach like this one is BUT the upgrades will be worth it.. I can still hoof it to the beach , it's not that far. Here are the pictures of the outside.. There is a huge Plumeria tree right next to the house and the wind blows the scent right into our backyard, it smells so good..
